Come and learn the basics of Chamaritta dancing!
Chamarrita dancing is a traditional, improvised dance from Pico. Where the leader “calls” the dancers in Portuguese and gives them instructions on the movements to be performed. The dance is accompanied by song and music, and the interaction between the leader and the dancers is crucial to the spontaneity of the performance.
